What is Hydrocom Limited?
Hydrocom Limited is a wholly Ghanaian-owned engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) firm. We deliver water supply, energy infrastructure, roads and buildings, and environmental sanitation projects across Ghana, and we also operate an agricultural exports division.

Who leads the company?
George Lawson is the founding Managing Director, with over 29 years of experience in hydrogeology, water supply engineering, and EPC project management. The board also includes Obed Owusu-Kissi (Director — Finance & Administration) and Edna Lawson (Director).

What services does Hydrocom provide?
We provide five main service lines: water supply, energy infrastructure, roads and buildings, environmental sanitation, and other specialist services. As an EPC contractor, we handle projects end-to-end — from feasibility and design through procurement, construction, and handover.
What kinds of water supply work does Hydrocom deliver?
Our water supply capabilities include borehole siting, drilling and testing; water storage reservoir design and construction; pumping stations and rising mains; distribution pipeline networks; mechanised and solar-powered pumping systems; water quality testing and treatment; and Community Water & Sanitation Agency (CWSA) scheme delivery.
Does Hydrocom work on energy and transmission projects?
Yes. Our energy portfolio includes high-voltage transmission line design and construction, substation civil works, and commissioning activities. Past work includes the Wexford Power Project (a 50 km, 161 kV line in the Western Region) and the Obotan Asanko Gold Mine 161 kV substation.

Who funds the projects Hydrocom delivers?
Over nearly 29 years, Hydrocom has delivered projects funded by the World Bank/IDA, DANIDA, CIDA/DFATD, UNDP, and UNHCR, as well as government and state-owned bodies such as the Volta River Authority (VRA) and the Community Water & Sanitation Agency (CWSA), and private-sector clients in mining and energy.
Is Hydrocom registered and tax compliant?
Yes. Hydrocom is incorporated and registered in Ghana under the Companies Act, holds a current Tax Identification Number (TIN) from the Ghana Revenue Authority, registers permanent employees with SSNIT, and is registered as a contractor with the Public Procurement Authority (PPA) of Ghana.
Can Hydrocom meet international donor requirements?
Yes. We have extensive experience navigating the procurement rules, progress-reporting frameworks, and audit requirements of World Bank, DANIDA, CIDA, and UN-system funded projects, and we maintain documentation throughout the project lifecycle to support audits.

Agricultural exports
Does Hydrocom export agricultural products?
Yes. Hydrocom's agro exports division sources, packages, and facilitates the export of premium Ghanaian food products — freeze-dried fruits, roasted cashew nuts, and fresh produce — to international buyers and distributors.
Which products does Hydrocom export?
Hydrocom exports premium Ghanaian freeze-dried mango and pineapple, and roasted cashew nuts in various varieties, as well as fresh mangoes and pineapples.
Are the export products certified?
Products are sourced from certified manufacturers with FDA Ghana approval and, where applicable, Rainforest Alliance certification.
Which markets does Hydrocom supply?
We supply supermarkets, specialty retailers, food distributors, and importers across Europe, North America, and the Middle East.
